This is a very attractive Brown leghorn cockerel that is very quiet. He would probably be a show candidate if he hadn’t lost the tips of his comb to the cold. His spurs have been permanently removed also. This rooster is healthy and should do well with your flock of hens. This breed is one of my favorite breeds. They are great layers of large white eggs while still being pretty feed efficient. They also are very good at taking care of themselves and hustling for food.
I’m not sure why this guy hasn’t been bought yet. I actually think I have him under priced. He is one of the best standard sized breeds that I have produced. I’ve been breeding him to a Silver Leghorn hen and he is very fertile since almost every egg out of him has hatched. Watch out next year for some of his golden sons.
